Everyone's skin is different, but I myself having dry, blotchy skin, have found myself trying different products until I found one that worked.
Ingredients you want:
It’s important to get the right ingredients for moisturizing blotchy, dry skin.
The key ingredient you’ll want is a humectant.
Humectants will provide a seal to keep in the moisture that is retained after washing.
Common humectants are urea, glycerin and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs).
In the winter season when moisture is sparse, look for a rich occlusive ingredient, such as lanolin or shea butter, to pair with the humectant.
Ingredients you don't want:
Avoid moisturizers with alcohol, exfoliants and added scents. Yes, they may smell good, but they will irritate your skin. (At least that what I've learned about myself.)
Stick with gentle formulas made specifically for sensitive skin.
Look at the labels to determine if the moisturizer is made for sensitive skin.
Look for hypo-allergenic moisturizers which contain fewer active ingredients to moisturize without overloading.
Assuming you have similar issues as I have, I would recommend trying my personal favs from Amazon:
1. Christina Moss Naturals (Unscented).
2. Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Face Moisturizer, 3 Fl. Oz.
