The possibility of starting your own magazine is very real and one that you should persue considing that this is your true passion and not just a hobby.
In my opinion, staring at a 4″ phone all day, doesn't appeal to everyone’s reading habits.
There's nothing wrong with cozying up to a good old fashion newspaper, magazine or book despite the internets massive worldwide influence and appeal.
You have to look at the bigger picture. For example, most of the populations jobs require them to sit and stare at a computer screen all day in some cases. At the end of the day the last thing most people want to do is to go home or elsewhere only to look at another screen.
It simply comes down to preference. I myself, choose not to stare a computer screen 24/7. Sure, the internet is a great go-to source for quick up to the minute information on current events or otherwise, but most people enjoy the tradition of sitting at the kitchen or dining room table to read traditional forms of print newspapers and magazines. So, stick to your plan.
If you can provide useful and informative content, there's a very real possibility that your print magazine will appeal to the masses and take off. The key in this scenario is to hire dedicated writers and editors who will deliver quality content. Good luck!
