Dolores Mary Eileen O'Riordan, was an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician born on September 6, 1971 in Limerick, Ireland.
She auditioned for the already established rock group 'The Cranberries' winning them over and leading the rock band to fame in the 90's until their break-up in 2003 and reunited in 2009.
The popular 90's rock band had produced several big hits with O'Riordan at the helm during their time together including the hit songs Zombie - Linger and Dreams.
O'Riordan's first solo album, 'Are You Listening?', was released in May 2007 and was followed up by No Baggage in 2009.
(The same year she reunited with The Cranberries)
O'Riordan was known for her lilting mezzo-soprano voice, her emphasised use of yodelling, and her strong Limerick accent.
She appeared as a judge on RTÉ's The Voice of Ireland during the 2013–14 season. In April 2014, O'Riordan joined and began recording new material with the trio D.A.R.K.
Time of Death
O'Riordan, who was visiting London at the time for a recording session, was found dead in a hotel room in Park Lane just after 9 a.m. on January 15, 2018.
After an initial investigation, authorities have stated they are not treating O'Riordan's death as suspicious, although the cause of her death is still unknown. She was still a very young 46 years old.
