Most men cheat because no matter what he may tell you, men love variety and attention.
Example, if a man doesn't feel wanted, or the home environment has too much tension and you don't make enough time for each other, a man is quick to turn to another woman who gives him that much needed attention that your not giving, to fulfill his needs at that particular time.
Now, those needs may be emotional, mental or sexual in nature, but mostly all men require some degree of attention. That's our nature.
The outside relationship may last for weeks, months or longer depending on the chemistry between the two of them. The key is to be observant and catch it early before the relationship has time to blossom.
As a woman, have you ever been at a gathering with your significant other only to find him at one point or another, flirting in a corner with one or two other women later in the evening?
This can be interpreted as the attention that you're not giving at home.
If he's well to do or charasmtic, a man will use this to his advantage to please his desires. So, if you truly want to save your marriage or relationship, you must pay attention to detail. Watch for the warning signs, and when they reveal themselves, approach him, sit him down, and have a long talk. Express to him how you truly feel and ask him to cut off his relationship with the other party.
If it's worth it, and you are both willing to save your relationship, it may do you some good to seek professional counseling.
